Free Mp3 Music At Last

Free Mp3 Music At Last

One of the leading music producers, Universal Music, have given the go-ahead to make free music downloads available. This will see mp3 music provided to the masses but not those who use iPods - unfortunately this service will not be available for iPod users and the tracks will not be transferable to a CD.

Spiral Frog is the online music store that you need to check out for your free mp3 music and they rely purely on advertising for their money. Subscription fees and fees for each track are now a thing of the past, at long last. However, eighty per cent of downloaded music usually goes through market dominators Apple iTunes music store.

It is possible that the service will be available after ninety seconds of advertising has been watched and this has its fair share of opposition. However, this isn't really much of a hardship given that all your mp3 music will then be free. It does, though, demonstrate the commitment of the music industry to find a way to provide free music to the listeners and rid the music world of the piracy from dishonest internet users.

If you are in any doubt as to whether or not it's all worth it, consider the fact that around 420 million tracks were downloaded last year and 60 million digital music players are expected to be sold throughout the world this coming year. All will require online mps music downloads.

Popular high street stores such as Tesco, Virgin and HMV sell music over the internet and Microsoft are about to jump on this bandwagon with the launch of Zune, a music player and download internet store. Zune will still be using the subscription method of providing mp3 music and music videos so another nice little earner for one of the richest men in the world then?

It is hoped the provision of free online music will counteract the work of those using piracy to get their tunes. There are still a staggering forty illegal downloads for every single legal download and this is something Universal hope to discourage by providing an easy, free service for those getting their music via the internet. Download speeds will be quicker and easier and free from viruses, thus encouraging people to use this method. All it needs now is for Apple to follow suit and provide an equal service to those with iPods.

So, what to do with all this free music? You may be surprised to learn that the top song for downloads is Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club by Paul McCartney. Not, as you would expect, some rapping noise from some teenybopper just in the music charts but a good, old-fashioned favourites. This tells us that either the older generation are not as technophobic as you would think or that the younger generation can actually appreciate good music. Either option is a good one!

James Blunt's rendition of You're Beautiful comes in as the second favourite mp3 music download proving that we are all softies at heart but don't worry - gangster rap takes a relatively impressive third place with Ghetto Gospel from 2Pac. Charlotte Church has Crazy Chick downloaded into fourth place and Paul McCartney makes another appearance at number five with The Long and Winding Road. I guess he must have played that a lot throughout his divorce!

Mariah Carey whines her way into sixth place with We Belong Together followed by Audio Bullys and Nancy Sinatra singing Shot You Down. Razorlights appearance of somewhere Else comes in at number eight on the most downloaded tunes and Gorillaz Feel Good Inc meets it at number nine. Just scraping into the top ten downloads is Kanye West with his Diamonds from Sierra Leone. I'd personally rather have diamonds from Cartier but when it comes to mp3 music I suppose he'll do.

Music expert Catherine Harvey looks at the new way of downloading mp3 music free of charge.

Hello Lover Goodbye Friend

Hello Lover Goodbye Friend

Most of us are lucky enough to have a close friend who knows how to assure us our bum doesn't look big and who understands our embarrassing and undiminished love for James Blunt.

For some of us, that best friend just happens to be a guy. And, if he's single and heterosexual, it's possible at some point while watching Survivor or downing a flaming Sambuca you've even thought, 'Hmm, I wonder what it would be like to kiss him?' Or perhaps you've harbored serious love fantasies about him for ages and just haven't broached the subject. Crossing the divide from being friends to lovers can be fraught with misunderstandings, unrealistic expectations and heartache, say relationship experts. But it could also be the start of something fabulous.

Is it a Good Idea?

‘Getting involved with someone you already depend on and are emotionally attached to is risky,’ says Cindy, a 24-year-old dance instructor who made the leap with a friend, Paul, a law student she'd known for six months. 'I didn't want to spoil what we
had,' she says. 'But I also knew I wanted more than just his friendship. It was a mutual decision.'

Psychologists believe that having someone who knows your faults and foibles before seeing you naked makes the relationship more likely to succeed. Researchers have found that couples who are best friends first have more happiness and satisfaction in their lives. Best friends work through conflicts and don't give up on each other.

An intimate relationship that starts as a friendship rules out the roller-coaster ride and subsequent disappointment that is an inevitable part of a relationship that starts with
falling in love. You’re far more likely to have an authentic, warts-and-all relationship.

Although Cindy and Paul's romance ended when he moved to the UK, they are still in touch. 'We've fallen back into the friendship,' says Cindy. 'We've started asking each other's advice about other people in our lives and although I sometimes feel a bit jealous, I know the love we shared was real and valuable. I don't regret it at all.' Although Cindy's experience was positive, experts caution you to consider a number of issues before propositioning your male mate. For starters, ask yourself whether it's true attraction or simply a moment of loneliness or lust.

'I regret having sex on my kitchen table with my then best friend,' says Mishka, a 33-year-old writer. 'If I'd been more circumspect, I would've realized I was dejected after losing a lucrative contract and looking for an ego boost. I jeopardized a meaningful friendship.'

If you can honestly say your wicked thoughts of licking whipped cream off his tattoo aren't the result of too many vodka martinis or too many nights at home alone with Mr Sex Toy, ask yourself why you're only considering your friend as a potential love interest now. If it's because circumstances have changed (for example he's newly single or finished his master's thesis, which distracted him), chances are you are dealing with true feelings that can now be addressed. If, however, you've had ample time to get things together in the past and haven't, perhaps your motives aren't good.

Kate, a 34-year-old lab technician, admits she's been tempted to make a move out of sheer curiosity, but has had enough sense not to. 'One of my closest friends has everything I'm looking for in a partner but I'm just not physically attracted to him,' she says. 'It's weird. We shop and eat out together. We even spend Big Nights In like a married couple. But if we were to start shagging I know it would be a disaster. The chemistry just isn't there for me.'

Most importantly, consider what you might lose if your revelation doesn't have the desired effect on him. If he doesn't share your feelings, it's likely your friendship will change in some way.

The Conversation

If you've weighed up the pros and cons and are still convinced he's The One, it's time to make your feelings known. Considering there's a friendship in place, chances are there's already some flirting happening. Keep things light but being clear about the outcome you would like. Chat about the things you have in common and the reasons you share so much time together.

It may be best to start off with a huge degree of subtlety. Gently find out where he stands on the issue of friendships developing into relationships. Opportunities often present themselves in the form of experiences of mutual friends, or through examples in movies, books or magazines. Removing yourself from the discussion will give you the opportunity to pick up clues from how he views other people in similar situations. It's also a good idea to discuss this important topic when sober.

The first few shots of alcohol boost high levels of the feel-good brain chemical serotonin. Under its influence you are more likely to exaggerate your ‘love’ for him. A gushing onslaught may turn him off, even if he really likes you.

The Move

Mia, a 32-year-old clothing manufacturer, wishes she'd considered this advice. 'I really worked myself up into a lather about whether I should make my feelings for Ryan known,' she says. 'When I first met him I wasn't all that interested because I'd just ended a destructive relationship and needed time to heal.' As the months passed, Ryan's unusual looks and offbeat sense of humor really started to appeal. 'Everyone commented on how much time we spent together,' she recalls. 'I was ready for action'. Frustrated that her friend wasn't making the first move, and convinced the growing attraction was mutual, Mia planned a grand seduction scene. 'I lit candles, did the whole dressed-to-kill thing and even had a Hollywood wax for the event,' she recalls. 'It was a complete disaster. After two bottles of wine I ended up sitting on top of him on my bed, pleading with him to kiss me.' She can laugh about it now, but she's painfully aware the easy camaraderie is gone. 'We didn't see each other for a few weeks after that,' Mia recalls. 'And when we did, we were both far too embarrassed to discuss it. All he said was ‘I'm sorry I was so unplayable’ and mumbled something about a past mistake.'

Janine, a 25-year-old accounts manager, had an entirely different experience. 'Brian, 26, and I became close quickly. We'd spend most weekends partying together and hours on the phone during the week,' she says. 'When we landed up sleeping together it was strange. Lovely but strange. We promised each other we'd keep our eyes closed because it was just weird having sex with your best buddy.'

While it might be nice to think you'll feel charges of electricity when you finally kiss for the first time, chances are familiarity can work against you, as it did for Janine. But there's no need to give up completely if you don't feel hot mercury pulsing through your veins at his first touch. Acknowledge the uneasiness and try to make a light joke of it. Alternatively, promise each other you'll go really slowly until you're both used to this new way of interacting.

You might find that your friend is not interested in sleeping with you, eyes closed or not. This isn't an easy pill to swallow. You may need to cry him out of your system but for this you'll need the next best shoulder to cry on - not his. Respect his decision. Placing your life on hold because you don't know his feelings can be just as damaging. At least this way you’ve taken the plunge and have been honest with yourself – and him.

Giving it a Try

While getting naked together doesn't necessarily mean you're an official item, chances are your romantic hopes will be high at this point. It's important to communicate your expectations - and have a handle on his too. Try something such as: 'I'm attracted to you and I'm happy you want to give this a chance but I want to make sure we're on the same page so no-one's feelings get hurt.'

When Jamie and I got together it was more of an experiment than anything else,' says Annette a 25-year-old student. 'We partied together for a couple of months before he suggested we ‘give this whole dating thing a chance seeing that we get on so well anyway’. After a few weeks, I realized the flirtation and the chase had been better than the end result.' Deciding they were better friends than lovers, Annette spoke to Jamie. Turns out we were both on the same page and went back to being party friends without any difficulty,' she says.

The Music of Many Lands

The Music of Many Lands

IT HAS often been said that music is an international language. Proof of this is the folk music of the world. Enjoyment of it is not confined to the land of its origin. People can and often do enjoy hearing the music of lands other than their own. Getting acquainted with the music of other lands can be a delightful experience.

If you were to travel to every section of our earth you would find that each nation or group of people has its own characteristic songs and dances. Each one has contributed its own “accent” to the “language” of music. And this “accent” is generally so distinctive that a person can identify the land in which a certain song or dance originated, in much the same way that he can tell a foreigner’s nationality by his accent.

Most folk music was not composed by professional composers. Some of it has existed for thousands of years. In early times tunes were made up by musically inclined persons and these were handed down from generation to generation. The words of songs dealt with love, peace, war, drinking, fictional characters and amusing incidents. And people danced to the tunes, each group developing its own style.

So when people got together on social occasions in village marketplaces, in homes or around campfires, they sang and danced to music that had been handed down from their forefathers. Of course, the topography and climate of their land as well as their history, language, customs and temperament helped to mold their songs and dances. And these are the things that give each group’s folk music that peculiar “accent” that identifies it as belonging to them.

The Music of Europe

Much of the greatest music of the Western world was produced in Europe. From the seventeenth century onward a number of outstanding musical composers wrote a great quantity of music both for instruments and the voice. Their orchestral music called for many stringed instruments, as well as the wind and percussion types. Their beautiful concertos featured a solo instrument with an orchestra for accompaniment. And there were moving works that called for a large chorus of voices along with an orchestra.

Europe is known for its operas. As the play is acted out on a stage, with sets and costumes, the presentation is made more moving because the words are usually sung rather than spoken. An orchestra accompanying the singers adds dramatic effect. Operettas, like operas, have plots, but they are lighter and the music is gay.

Oratorios began in this part of the world. These compositions usually deal with Bible history. No stage props and costumes are used. Soloists sing the various parts, and a chorus and orchestra are employed. G. F. Handel wrote great Biblical oratorios dealing with Joseph and his brothers, Israel’s deliverance from Egypt, Joshua, Deborah, Jephthah, Samson, Saul, Solomon, Athaliah, Belshazzar and the fall of Babylon, Esther and the Messiah. In many of these thrilling masterpieces the divine name Jehovah appears.

At times these composers dug into the treasury of European folk music. They would either use a folk tune outright or would compose a melody having the distinctive characteristics of a nation’s folk music. At the beginning of their composition they often indicated that it was in the style of the music of a certain land.

As for the folk music of Europe, the most distinctive is that of Spain. The Moorish occupation of this land from the eighth to the fifteenth century C.E., as well as Gypsies, left their imprint on Spain’s music. Perhaps no other people have as many different kinds of dances as do the Spanish, yet that Spanish “accent” of vitality is evident in all of them. Adding to this “accent” are the instruments used by their folk musicians, namely, the guitar, the tambourine and the castanets with their clacking sound.

The Western music of Europe might be said to find a basic representative in the German. It stresses the bright-sounding major scale and is rich in harmony. Italian music is generally more melodious than is German, and is much lighter. The folk music of the French is also very melodious; however, the emphasis in their music is usually more on rhythm.

The Oriental flavor in European music is especially apparent in that of Russia. This could well be due to the Mongols who overran that country in the thirteenth century. Also, the deprivation of the people under the despotic czars no doubt helped to give Russian music its minor, sad strain. Further, the long, bleak winters there contributed to this melancholy “accent.”

Scandinavian music might be said to lie somewhere between that of the Germans and that of the Russians. Finnish music seems to have an Oriental tinge about it. However, many folk tunes of Denmark and Holland are quite similar to German folk music. Polish folk music shows both Russian and French influences.

Today it is usually the Europeans living in the country who do not merely listen but sing and dance their folk music. Those living in the cities are more inclined to go to concert halls and to listen to music on the radio.

That Latin-American “Accent”

Latin-American music is a combination of Spanish, African and, depending on the country, native Indian music. In this music the African influence is especially noticeable in the greater use of drums, the strong stress on rhythm and on variety in rhythm. Examples of these characteristics are found in such dances as the conga, the rumba, the samba and the beguine. In these dances, as well as others, the rhythm is sharply defined, being highlighted by drums and other percussive instruments. It is this quality that makes this music so catchy and moves one to want to dance to it.

Among Latin Americans there are many who like to have music all the time—and loud. So it is not unusual for them to have music on the radio all day long and frequently far into the night, with the volume turned up full blast. Cafés with jukeboxes and shops with radios add to the sound that can be heard by a good part of the neighborhood. At social affairs a band may be hired, or a phonograph turned up to full volume may provide the music. Of course, preferences vary. In some sections, people will pick up a guitar or accordion and provide their own music, singing or dancing together.

Report on the Effect of Specially Composed Music for Mother and Child

Report on the Effect of Specially Composed Music for Mother and Child

Music for Mother and Child

Summary of a report on the effect of specially composed music on fetuses, infants, toddlers and parents

“We were just visited by a couple and their 8 months-old girl. At one point during the evening she was restless and distressed. I put on the CD “Tales of the Ocean” from the CD series “Music for Mother & Child”, and she began to listen, and calmed down with her mother. After a short time she was asleep – and my unborn child “danced” in my womb.” (Ann, mother-to-be)

Background and objective

In the summer of 1999 the two musicians and composers, Claus D Jensen and Henrik Birk Aaboe, produced the CD series Music for Mother & Child, which contains music specially composed and designed to calm fetuses, infants, toddlers and parents. In the course of the process henrik and Claus received such exciting responses from people that they decided to undertake a private study of the effect of the music on pregnant women, infants and their parents.

They wanted to study the direct effect on fetus/infant, as well as the indirect effect: whether the music could calm down the parents, and whether the tranquillity of the parents could positively affect or be imparted to the fetus/child.

In addition to studying how the music affected the participants in the study, they wanted information on how often and when the music was used and for how long at a time. The participants were given the CDs and a questionnaire in the form of a checklist with space for supplementary comments.

Study Group

44 people participated in the 12-week study. The 44 participants were divided into three groups:

1. Mothers-to-be, some of whom gave birth during the course of the study.
2. Parents with infants and toddlers from 0-3 years of age.
3. Practitioners who work with infants and/or pregnant women.

How the music originated

The idea for the CDs arose from a common desire of the musicians to compose music that could give fetuses/infants a good start in life.  For it is recognized as an extreme upheaval to leave the mother’s secure womb and suddenly face the “real” world. They wanted to compose music that could impart security and inner as well as external peace and tranquillity.

One thing that impressed the composers was that during their research they read an articleabout the widely recognized French physicist Tomatis, and learned that hearing is the first sense that is developed, and that the fetus already has a fully developed sense of hearing by the 6th month.

Conclusion of the study
Of the pregnant women questioned, 88% were positively affected by the music. Most of them described the effect with words such as “relaxing”, “calming” and the like. One found that by listening to the music her fear of the childbirth was replaced with confidence in a positive birth experience.

One created a personal space with the music, so that instead of depression she found solutions for what she could do. 79% of the pregnant women could feel a reaction from the fetus, either often or occasionally or infrequently. Several could directly perceive that the fetus was calmed and that it was responsive to the music.  Two of those participating used the music during the childbirth, and they both had a positive experience with it, because the music was both relaxing and distracting.

Of the new parents questioned, 93% were positively affected by the music, and typical reactions were that the music was exceptionally relaxing and good against stress, that it was energizing, etc. No one was negatively affected.

The study shows that the music, besides having a clear effect on the fetus, had a significantly positive effect on infants and toddlers. 72% of the respondents found that the music had a positive effect on their children. Many experienced very significant and powerful reactions.

55% of the respondents noticed the positive reaction from the children immediately, while 17% replied that the reaction came after the child had heard the music several times.

The typical reactions were noticeable contentment, “a calm, listening child”, “the child is calmed”, “the child falls asleep more quickly”, etc. One replied that “the music is the ultimate medicine when my child is sick”. No one in this group noticed negative reactions to the music from their children. However there was one child who did not like the dolphin sounds.

The practitioners all noticed significant reactions not only from the children they treated, but also often from the parents. One noticed a reaction every time a child was in treatment, while the two others answered “often”. Words such as “peace”, “tranquillity”, “inner presence and calm”, that “the music produces calm and attentive children”, etc., were used to describe the children’s reactions.

As to the indirect effect on infant/toddler, which is the effect achieved when the parents are calmed and their state is imparted to the infant/toddlers, we cannot draw any certain conclusion from our study. However we refer to the section on stress, where 57% of the parents questioned believe that there is a connection between their stress and their children’s restlessness.

Since 93% believed that the music had a positive effect on the parents themselves, and reduced their stress, we can draw a guarded conclusion that the music must also have an indirect, positive effect on the children/fetus.

About the CDs
The CD series Music for Mother & Child consists of three CDs:

1. Windchimes, indicated for pregnant women, the unborn child and infants
2. Tales of the Ocean, for the 0-1 year-olds and their parents
3. Lullabies, for 1-2 year-olds and their parents

The composers talk about the CDs:

“The music on the CDs Music for Mother & Child contains elements chosen specifically to be relaxing for fetuses and infants, and elements that are more generally relaxing for all age-groups. Thus the music can be used by both the unborn, infants/toddlers and adults.

On Windchimes there are purposely long, continuous passages. Through dialogue with a reflexologist who has specialized in work with infants, we learned that the continuity is an important element for calming young children. Too many breaks in the music can be very disturbing to young children.

Therefore the CD consists of two long passages connected by light, melodious wind chimes. The music has a light and airy quality and is thought of as a soothing blanket of sound. Besides the continuous wind chimes, the instruments we have chosen are Native American drums, which according to the original Americans represent the heartbeat of Mother Earth, the human voice as a primordial instrument, and the acoustic guitar for its transparent tone. The music is composed both with an intuitive approach and a search for a balance in the harmonious structures from a more analytical angle.

Thus, among other things, Windchimes consciously consists of a melodious, five-tone structure, which is completely devoid of tension.

On Tales of the Ocean we use dolphin sounds and the sound of the waves as recurrent elements. Through the ages many people have been powerfully affected emotionally by listening to the fascinating sounds of the dolphins, and we felt that they would help give the music the right expression.

We all come from the watery element, and we quickly found that the child who is now more conscious, reacted very positively to the naturally created, soothing rhythm of the sounds of the sea.

In addition, on this CD we use Tibetan singing bowls and bells, which have a unique tone and contain an element of primordial strength, which is soothing for both children and adults. Tales of the Ocean is thought overall as a journey of the consciousness from the surface down to the deeper layer (under the sea) ending with a homecoming symbolized in the composition The Sea is my Home.

The last CD, Lullabies, is, as the name says, a sequence of newly composed lullabies, each of which tells its own little story. Compared to the other two CDs, the melodic material is significantly advanced, so they harmonize with the child’s enhanced consciousness and ability to comprehend actual melodic sequences.

At the same time we have sought to preserve the tranquil and secure atmosphere by purposely using repetition as an artistic effect. Some of the compositions on Lullabies have an almost hypnotic expression, something that naturally also influences the listening experience of the adults.”

About the composers:

Claus D Jensen is a qualified  guitarist amnd composer with a degree from The Music Conservatory of Jutland.  He has played professionally since 1984 and has taught at music school, college and evening school.  He is involved with several scientific researches about the effect of music and relaxation audioprograms on hospitals and self hypnosis-audioprograms for pregnant.

Henrik Birk Aaboe was educated at the Musicological Institute at the University of Århus, and has taught both at the university and in music schools.  In addition he functions as arranger and composer in various contexts.  He has his own company, Corona Music (www.coronamusic.dk), with a recording studio and music publishing house. He has released several music collections in his own name.

Quotes from the report:

“Because of a previous traumatic childbirth, I have some fear of childbirth.  The music was a centering and calming influence on me, and I had more confidence in a positive childbirth experience.”  (a mother-to-be)

“If there was restlessness, the fetus became more calm when I played the music.”
(a mother-to-be)

“With sickness, when the child was restless and unhappy, this music was the ultimate medicine.” (mother of infant)

“They are delightful CDs. Not only for the mother-to-be and toddlers. Also for adults.”  (reflexologist)

“My clients achieve a feeling of lightness so that they feel they are floating over the mat, and they experience a feeling of presence more quickly than with other music.  For the best effect in this process I have used the CD, Tales of the Ocean.” (reflexologist)

“Wonderful stimulation against stress, hip-hop, radio commercials and such.  Very relaxing!” (mother of infant)

“I relax more – drop my shoulders, etc. while nursing.  Beautiful to listen to – uplifting and relaxing.” (mother of infant)

“She often becomes calmer and stops crying. She falls asleep quickly when I play the music when it is time for her to sleep.”  (mother of infant)

“Our child seems more relaxed, and he appears to lie and listen because it sounds good.” (mother of infant)

“She listened quite intensely and calmed down, especially during nursing, if she was a little hysterical or over tired.” (mother of infant)

“If she cries, she stops quickly when we play the music.” (mother of infant)

“The child became calm, listening, searched a little within himself, where fantasies and dreams grow.” (mother of infant)

I Have a Secret- Read These Ten Secrets

I Have a Secret- Read These Ten Secrets

A well fact amongst the trading community is that 90 percent of investors lose money in futures and Forex tradin! This leaves 10%, which is then broken down to 4-6 percent break even and only 4-6 percent make money.

What Group Are YOU in?

Given the high numbers of clients that are unsuccessful, it is all the more important for investors to approach futures and forex trading in the right manner. So we have put together some rules that hopefully help you become a more successful trader.

Secret 1: Trade with Money you can afford to Lose

Now that you have decided to get involved in trading, sit down and asses how much money am I going to trade, investor, speculate on the market with. I understand that this is trading and therefore there is the chance that I can lose my money.

Secret 2: It’s Not how many trades: Do not OVERTRADE

So many new traders come to the market thinking, I am going to pick 8 winners out of 10 and make all of this money. Well it is possible to pick more winners but still lose on the market. Why because of risk and money management, so always put in equal amounts per trade. Eg: if you have ,000 to trade, break it up into ,000 trades, this will help with you staying in much longer and increasing your success to become a successful or a full time trader.

Secret 3: Run with the profits, and cut those losers.

If a trade goes against you, remember to cut it. No one can pick the market 100% of the time, so don’t think you are different. If the trade is going the wrong way cut it. Re look at the trade, there is going to be plenty more. Once they start going up, let them go, who knows how high they go. Remember always use trailing stop losses.

Secret 4: Feel Like you can’t pick your nose- Have a Break

It can be possible that you are just not picking the market right or there are strange market conditions if this is the case take a break. Walk away and then come back and look again.

Secret 5: Work like an Egyptian build pyramids

As the market moves up and you are long much earlier, you must learn not to double up your positions. Instead, reduce your positions each time you add to a position. If at first you had 10 contracts, the second should not be more than 5-6 contracts and the third should be 50% of your second (i.e. 3 contracts). An upside down pyramid will be top heavy and could wipe out all your hard-earned profits should the market reverse.

Secret 6 : Don’t Double Down- It just compounds losses

If  start to add to a losing position by averaging down this is going to be very dangerous. Remember you are investing with "margin". The contract is not yours; you merely paid a percentage of the total value. Averaging a losing position is equivalent to not admitting your mistakes, that you were wrong in the first place. Successful traders cut their losses short and realize that you can’t get 100% of winning trades. We all try, but we can’t. So cut losses.

Secret 7: WHO wants to be a millionaire? Don’t Put it all in One Trade

Use risk and money management to protect your capital, divide your trading capital into 10 equal parts and never lose more than 10 percent on one trade. If you lost the first trade, you still have nine more opportunities to be right. Putting all your capital on one trade is suicidal and you will go down.

Secret 8: NEVER MEET MARGIN CALLS – CUT THE $hit- Saves you Money

When you are wrong about the market, get out, admit it and move on. Once you start thinking, very often prices will go against your position, further triggering a margin call from your broker. A margin call simply means that you are wrong in the market and your position should be closed out. Margin calls are made because people do not want to admit being wrong and take a loss; they hope the market will eventually go in their direction and that they will get there money back. It will come back, I am not wrong. Yes you are.. Get out.  To avoid this mistake, you should never meet margin calls. Just cut your losses and "get the hell out".

Secret 9: Transfer Profits

Probably no more than 1% of traders have a rule to take profits out of their trading account. The few wise investors I know have bought their house, a car or simply put part of their winnings into a fixed deposit account, or into some long term shares, otherwise the chances are high that they may lose them all back.

Secret 10: James Blunt knows- Baby because I’ve got a plan… Make a Plan

Lack of planning can only result in no plan, and without a plan you are gambling.  Look at getting advice, from stock market reports, www.cfdfxreport.com  look finding a great stock broker, use this site to see who they recommend.

HELP HINTS:
Most traders should listen to the Kenny Rogers song The Gambler, there are aspects of that song that can learn from, mainly, know when to hold them, know when to fold them, and know when to ‘cut’ RUN

1. Know when and at what price you are going to enter the market.
2. Know how much money you are going to risk on each and every trade.
3. Know when and at what price you are going to get out when you are wrong.
4. Know when and at what price you are going to take your profits if you are right.
5. Know how much money you are going to make if you are right.
6. Have a safety stop in case the market does the unexpected.
7. Have an approximate idea of when the market should meet your objectives or when it should begin to make a move; and if it has not done so, get out.

FINAL WRAP UP

One of the most important things to take away are set a plan, has your risk and money management plan in front of you and stick to it. If you have that plan and it doesn’t work, re plan, that’s why if you start small you can soon build up to be whatever trader you want to be.

Happy Trading

Etobicoke, On. –, 2010 – The D.C. Music Theatre is celebrating their two-year anniversary with a three-day music festival. The all ages festival is taking place on the Easter long weekend starting on Thursday April 1, 2010 and running through to April 3, 2010, at The D.C. Music Theatre (360 Munster Ave. Etobicoke On. It wasn't to long ago when there was nowhere for independent bands to play in Etobicoke. For the past two years D.C. Music has been hard at work turning their production studio into a full out concert hall, giving a home for artists and music lovers to enjoy some great shows. "D.C. Music have been concert promoters for quite sometime now and we created a great stop for touring artists and local bands to showcase their talent to all the local concert goers in this area, and because we do all ages shows it gives the kids in this area a place to get exposed to some great music." said Marco Mondano president,   " We are really excited about our 3 day festival, and we want to invite everyone to come out, celebrate and have a great time with us."

D.C. Music Theatre was constructed by the founders of D.C. Music, long time musicians and industry specialists Marco Mondano and Dom Curro, The 2500 sq ft room is nestled inside their studio complex, and designed to cater to rehearsals and tour pre production, recording, video and other media. "Bands like Finger Eleven, New Found Glory, Theory of a Deadman and so many more have all graced this room with their presence for some reason or another." said Dom Curro. "We use this room for so many different purposes, but the real fun is turning this place into a concert hall giving the fans and bands a place to unite"

Doors for these shows open at 6:00 p.m. each night so come out celebrate and enjoy three great nights of music. For more information www.dcmusic.ca
